Myasthenic Snarl

Post  Abbas on Tue Jun 15, 2010 6:31 pm

This is one of the oldest depiction of myasthenic patient in literature. When trying to smile there response becomes blunted to a snarl. Along with ptosis, a little open mouth and a snarl (compared to words coming out of mouth) gives a particular picture of helplessness, which is unmistakable once seen and very helpful to recognize in examination
